In 1984, Cherrelle was known for "I Didn't Mean To Turn You On." But 30 years ago, during the Winter '86 quarter, we began to hear her "Saturday Love." Personally, I loved hearing this, after my Saturday morning baseball practices. My family would often then drive from Golden Gate Park, out to Colma/Daly City. After the morning fog burned off, it was a treat, to hear "Saturday Love."
Nowadays, "Saturday Love" is a staple of R&B stations. Here in the Bay Area, 98.1 KISS-FM plays it regularly.
