35 years ago tubes were declared dead. 30 years ago LP's were declared dead. Somewhere around that time paper cone drivers were considered unsuitable for "high end" use. Funny how all 3 of those still make the best music today.
I'm 57 and fondly remember the 15 mile bicycle trip to the nearest Lafayette store when I was 11 to buy a couple tubes for an amp I inherited from my grandfather...
