Short Wall, but....

..it depends upon your loudspeakers and (particularly) their treble dispersion.

Although I much prefer using the short wall in my roughly 25 x 15 ft room there have been speakers with (excessively?) wide treble dispersion where the proximity of the side walls has caused problems and where the speakers would have worked better along the long walls.

Also using the short wall is the only way to get to listen from the mid or far field (depending upon definition) unless you have speakers that work OK sited against the front wall.

NB: For best soundstage do not rack the equipment between the speakers but put it to one side.

Overall, my advice is suck it and see.
