Update of the trials and tribulations of the Oppo & a Mac

The Oppo does not handle a HD encoded in an Apple format. I bought another HD and formatted it in Fat32 which the Oppo can read. The interface of the Oppo is a files and folder type. There is no metadata, no artwork, just an artist folder and inside any albums by said artist in another folder. When that album folder opens up you get a list of song files. To get there you start at the "A" artists and hold the selector on the down arrow until you get to the artist you want. This is rather inelegant and klutzy.
There is no way to simply enter a first name or last name and go directly to that artist.
After talking with Apple about the Apple TV you need to have it plugged into the TV AND the Pre-amp to select what you want.
So, the solution I will try is using a Denon D-200WS Wi-Fi receiver with my existing WF network. It costs 150 bucks or so....then I will use it's balanced out into the Parasound Integrated's balanced in and it's DAC.
The Oppo will be used for blue-Ray, DVDs and watching TV, it does video very well indeed, with a PC it may even do audio more elegantly, I have no idea.
Overall, the Parasound and the Kimber wire all seemed to improve quickly and with diminishing changes after a few days of playing 24 hours a day for 5 days or so.
The Maggies are the bargain of the year....
