Anyone? You are right about consumer audio as 3 channel recordings were not commercially available. But Mr. Sinatra would have been given dubs from the studio master 3 channel recordings for artist approval. So he would have taken them home to play on his 3 channel system - as a professional top rankiing artist.
BTW, at one point during the early days of stereo some audiophiles of the day would indeed have three channel systems. However the centre channel did not come from a discrete recording but was derived from 2 channel stereo a bit like the old Hafler surround sound.
