has one of the worse (as in slowest) postal systems in existence. My most recent experience:
Mailed a 45 RPM Neil Young record to a buyer there last year. After about 8 weeks he contacted
me to say it hadn't arrived yet and since the tracking that is SUPPOSED to exist between the US
and Canada doesn't work we couldn't track it. He was cool, understood about the Canadian mail
service and I fully reimbursed him and told him IF it ever turned up he could pay me for it then.
SEVERAL months go by and I receive a package from USPS. It smelled burned. Open it up and
what is left of the NY mailer is in a plastic bag with a long note explaining how the Canadian
postal truck had caught fire and this was all that was left of the package.
I was impressed they went through all that hassle and that the mystery was solved.
I've had some minor annoyances with USPS but they have always done me right.
Glad they did you right (finally).
