Sure, the line output of the tuner is FAR higher in amplitude than that of a phono cartridge. However, the Hagerman reverse RIAA board (in between the tuner & the phono stage) attenuates the input signal - from the tuner - by 40dB (to match the 40dB gain provided by a typical MM phono stage).
Yes, I might be loading down the tuner's output, though - it's plugged into the 600ohm inputs of the reverse RIAA board.
