I attend the Estes Radio auctions almost every month...

and at times am amazed at how much some old radios fetch. There are still many radios, most art deco style and early colorful plastics, that sell for over $1K. Some for quite a bit more.

I go to these because they almost always have some old hifi, but it's still enjoyable to watch the bidding and see some of the really unusual radios that were made and marketed over the years. In general I think prices on vintage radios seem to be softening, especially on floor radios, which usually sell for shockingly low prices, but like any collectible there are always certain things that bring crazy prices.
