What sound changes when going from carpet to hardwood floors?

Hello from an old member who hasn't been around in a while. Got involved in another hobby and have spent time in it. Still love music though. However, my system is complete (for the time). I never did get around to the dedicated room. I still use the living Room for my 2 channel system.

I need to change out the flooring. we have carpet now. And my system has been voiced while the carpet is in the room. So I'm considering installing hardwood flooring in the living room. But I'm wondering what kind of sound changes await if I go from carpet to hardwood.

Has anyone here done this? What kind of sound changes did you experience? Was there an increase or decrease in certain frequencies, IE, did bass response increase or decrease?

I appreciate any and all help you can give. Thanks
BTW, system is listed
