that the sound at shows is many times abysmal. this is NOT the fault of the exhibitors. at a vacuum tube valley show once, elliott midwood had a room which sounded pretty good until he tried hooking up a very fine turntable.
for one reason or another, the low frequency feedback could N|OT be tamed. anybody that knows elliott knows that he is capable of outstanding setup.
don't be so quick to criticize something that you don't have first hand experience with. just be glad you get to see these wonderful products and hope that you can find time and availability in a better environment.
