It seems that in any given era of our music listening habits, Chicken
Little's cry of the "Sky is falling" pops up !!
While I would agree the "Old Grey Mare ain't what she used to be!" it seems
that "Specialist Audio" exists specifically due to these circumstances !
The small percentage of the music listening public who care about the SQ
of recorded music has never been much more than a small blip on the "Music
Industry's" radar,but their greed seems to bring them around eventually as they want everyone to buy their products. It is disturbing that the Classical Music recording side of things is following the model of the rest of the Recording Industry !
While I'm throwing all these old sayings about (& I use em cause I'm Old)
I'll leave with one more "Where there's a will, there is a way". In other
words you can do your part by buying an older version of that new release
(with questionable SQ due to that Label's other recent releases). On another Label(of course,of course)
