True, but there are many ways to increase performance via the PSU. As an engineering exercise, there is no one correct solution.

Your recommendation for the most part employs a sort of "brute" force approach.

You can also use a single transformer with dual secondaries for each channel.

You can also use a single power transformer inboard with regulated sections for each channel and voltage step down.

You can also use diode decoupling to simulate separate transformers. Its not quite as good but approximated separate power supplies quite closely.

I'm no engineer, so there may be many other alternatives I have not mentioned.
