I can't remember the last time I looked at A-gon. Maybe I never have. lol But you have a good point. There is audio gear which is WAY over-priced for what it is.

Yet, there are people who will spend the money on it. I'd posit that they either have issues or are so wealthy that they don't care. I can see a Barbra Streisand, George Soros, Bill Gates, Martha Stewart or George Clooney buying such stuff just so they can say they have it. As you said: "bling".

Personally, I like the John Curl/Parasound approach: Design and build really great stuff without the cool-looking faceplate and light show. ('Course, I'm biased, since John can talk for an hour about the construction of capacitors, and has.)

Btw, my new speakers will sell for $249,900 (excluding delivery and set-up). Edit: Each.
