Agreed.
5k to sit by yourself (and that's what you have to do with ANY open back design so as not to piss off anyone near you) with a pair of cans strapped to your head - No thanks.
I would rather go the used route and enjoy a soundstage that cannot be replicated by a pair of miniscule drivers 4 inches apart.
To each his own I guess.......
