Laugh all you want, but Robotech was the catalyst, for getting masses of people into consumer electronics. People now wanted larger color TVs.

I thought porn was largely credited with launching people into consumer electronics, especially VCRs and such. LOL!

Speed Racer was more my generation. ;-)

And if I think back as far as my memory goes, it would have to be Felix the Cat in my early years. ;-)
