couldn't a good number of classical pieces be considered as having concepts behind a gathering of pieces?
Another might be Debussy's Clar de Lune/Arabesque/Prelude Afternoon of a Faun ( a stretch I know)
or The Four Seasons - Antonio Vivaldi.
