If you are referring to the SONOS "CONNECT Amp", (aka ZP-120) you can connect that directly to a pair of passive speakers. It is rated at 55 wpc. We use this in the bedroom with an old but clean pair of Rogers LS3/5A's. Sounds quite good. If you want to connect to an existing stereo system, you'll need the SONOS "CONNECT" (aka ZP-90).
I'm listening to it now, sounds good, even better if you go through a good DAC.
Just make sure your WiFi or SonosNet network is robust.
