CES is more about home automation and gadgets and automated this-and-that than about stereo or home theater. Have your coffee pot turn on 20 minutes before you get out of the shower. Control your garage door from anywhere in the world. Whatever.
I haven't been to one in 20 years for that very reason.
Hence the rise of other, "hifi-oriented" shows.
