And that raises a host of intriguing questions. Among them: Did you get there via West Point, ROTC, or battlefield promotion? Does "formally in..." mean that you had to wear your dress-parade uniform all the time while there, or were you ever allowed the luxury of slipping into something more comfortable? Am I correct in assuming that you want to retire immediately, given the method by which you acquired your $17.3 mil investment nest egg? And you didn't by any chance get the idea for acquiring that tidy sum from a George Clooney-Mark Wahlberg flick, did you?
I ask these questions, Joe, because trust is essential in any business relationship. If you can answer them to my satisfaction, I'll have a few more to ask you to determine the feasibility of entering into the kind of enterprise you have in mind.
You should know that, especially given the magnitude of the sum you're considering for investment, I would have to consult legal counsel to ensure that all statutory and regulatory requirements are complied with in any transaction we jointly undertake. In my case, my go-to guy is my state's attorney general (who, BTW, I'm cc'ing on this message), so you know that any business we do together will be wholly on the up-and-up. I'm sure that's just the way you'd want it.
