Thanks and that's what I thought. I read the manual online, no answer, the actual paper manual that comes with it, no answer either. It only lists compatible things it can read like AVI,MPEG etc. and has no info on the chipset. Native the 10.1 screen is 1024X600 and NONE of the store employees knew. I thought well let me just pull up a YT video on it that has HD and connect an HDMI from it to a TV and when it syncs it will show the rez info. They didn't even have a display model and I'm sure it would have been no fun even asking them to connect it to a TV to see . I think the thing these days is you just have to buy it and see then return it if you don't like it. Customer service really sucks these days.
