I agree that much of the older Rock qualifies as "Timeless". I was excited when Nirvana came along, because I was finally hearing new music which I connected with, and really moved me on various levels. Sadly, that ended all too quickly, and a long time ago.

There's still good music being made, but you have to work to seek it out, and there's a lot of chaff to sort through for the occasional grain of wheat. In the 1960s and early 1970s, it seemed great music was simply everywhere.
