RE: Receiver Volume Issue

Thanks to all of you for your suggestions. It appears that I have exorcised the demons from from my volume control. After removing the enclosure & the volume control circuit board, I cleaned the dust with compressed air. Then I used spray contact cleaner to clean the contacts & the rotary mechanism. As a result, the volume control knob on the receiver seems to work fine. As far as the issue with unexpected automatic changes in volume, I will have to run the receiver for an hour or so tonight. I am cautiously optimistic. Again, many thanks!
