its about as close to analog sound as you can get digitally. there are still many SACD releases and some lurking bargains. even if the original master is a lower level sampling rate, sacd is a good way to get the best you can get.
its kind of like vinyl releases of digital recordings. the fact that the bit stream doesn't have to be converted to 16bit/44.1k is an advantage on its own. you can be exposed to the best sound that the original digital recorder is capable of.
