If your room is small enough and your amp powerful enough (I think it is),
I suggest a pair of Magnepan MMGs. You cannot buy a better speak for the
money, but they are power hungry.
As for a TT, I suspect that Rega is the way to go, but I'm not at all into
vinyl and the guys over on vinyl asylum can be of much more help. Back
in the day (way back), I had a Panasonic tt that I thought performed
admirably for the money.
