RE: New system advice

First post & wasn't sure it would go up.
Good questions. Many moons ago I had a basic tube setup Dynaco st70 amp forget pre amp. ,thorens tt basic cartridge & pair of DQ10's
I'd listen to Jazz, Classic, and some older rock (pink Floyd ,Dire straights. Etc)

I wanted to be around 3,000 but will eat up 2k on amp. So let's say I can go about $1000
On speakers & same on tt& cartridge I know this is tight budget but I gotta start somewhere
Many more speakers around these days very hard to know without hearing but I figure this is the place to narrow things down
