600-700 tunes is enough for any of the trips I take. Had free Sirius when I bought the car. Could not listen to the crap SQ. The only other thing I listen to in the car is The State Of Jefferson Public Radio out of lovely Ashland.
Never have tried my headphones with the Ipod.
I may just load up my Ipad Air since it has way more memory and the guts are newer. It should sound better than the Ipod I imagine.
