Fritz speakers rocked, simple, reasonably priced, and great sound with lovely wood craftsmanship.
The best room by far was the Teresonic room: which had the wonderful LAMM amplifiers. By far the best in the show, and the most beguilingly accurate & engaging system. (I am talking about the floorstanding speakers, they played two types).
As a bass player, I've heard some of the greatest, truest bass on that system. (The Berkeley reference DAC was awesome).
To Music Lovers' credit, - they trotted out the lowest priced Wilson speakers that were sounding really good and well balanced. More "real world" than their more expensive offerings that may have been more appropriate to the room, - but less to attendee's budgets....
Lots more vinyl, (and playing blues music too: which prevents me from entering a room), than I expected. Plus, I got the impression that people trotted out digital file music servers that were poorly implemented and sounded muffled, just because they think that it's "the future"
"Asylums with doors open wide,
Where people had paid to see inside,
For entertainment they watch his body twist
Behind his eyes he says, 'I still exist.'"
