When someone talks about "musicality" it is a shorthand that says:
Don't talk about the detail, don't talk about the sounds of fingers sliding along a guitar string, the sound of lips smacking, think about what it sound to hear when someone plays in front of you. This component sounds closer to that standard that that other component.
My wife is a musician, and her ear is guided by "instruments that sound like instruments" and teaming up with her as we refined our system, it has only improved in realism.
