Yes, Rick, you are correct.

As far as I am aware, re-chargeable batteries for hearing aids should 'take' the described treatment as well as others. You will obviously understand that it is the person wearing the hearing aid who can tell if the technique I described gives them an improvement in the sound !! They are the ones doing the experiencing.

It is so easy to try the technique on primary batteries initially and then, if successful in that person's opinion, then to go on to try 'treating' re-chargeable batteries. All batteries for hearing aids are relatively inexpensive to experiment with !!

Very many people who use a hearing aid for the first time are SO pleased at having some degree of increased hearing again that they will often accept the 'sound' they provide as "that is it, that is what is available, accept it".

I responded to El Monte because some of the sentences he used, some of the way he described what he was hearing, I recognised as some problems which others have reported with hearing aids.

As in :-
