Hi May,
Out of curiosity do you happen to know if using primary cells in digital hearing aids "sound the same" as rechargeables?
Hopefully I'll never need 'aids' but my wife recently got ONE. She has always had a weak ear and even though, based on her measurements, the audiologist felt that she was a very poor candidate for hearing aids, she programmed one up and let her wander through the store (Costco, a big box chain). It was love at first listen. She has now had one for a couple of months and I simply can't believe how well it works since most folks I know with them seem to constantly fight 'em. It has improved my life also, apparently being able to converse without repeating or yelling smooths out relationships... It's a digital, on top of the ear type and I wouldn't expect the cell technology to matter much and so far she has only used a primary cell once and it apparently worked the same. But I vaguely think that you guys used to work with these critters but I don't know in which epoch.
Regards, Rick
