RE: Small Chair that supports feet also

I cannot sit comfortably for any length of time (at all, really) unless my feet are on the floor. Yet I'm still reading this thread! It is so hard to find a chair exactly like what I have, but nicer...that I thought maybe you guys would mention something where the foot part is optional, or else it would stay retracted if you reclined very slightly. i.e. not a La-Z-Boy type or the typical HT type.

I have the worst slouchy posture I can imagine (short of a physical medical issue), and yet I don't have a bad back at all (I'm a bit short of 60). So you'd think I'd like a zero-gee or other lazy chair, but no.

I did find a nice-looking chair of decent quality that reclines (if you want) and the footrest part is *optionally* extended. It is also not really wide, and the back part where your head is is not too tall. I did not buy it because after I got home I decided to research exactly what kind of "leather" it's made of ("leather" is a wildly varying term these days, kinda like "lo-cal" or "organic"). That's when I found out it's a *woman's* chair...that wasn't in the advertising or the brochures! That would perhaps explain why it's not larger and not quite so tall in the back (good for audio)...I'm still thinking about it.

Ah, found it again, didn't save the links from last year when I was looking. Try to read the features in the teensy-tiny docs they have. Those are Canadian prices BTW, and it was a fair bit cheaper than that here in the boonies (not Toronto prices), depending on cover materials. In person the chair is much smaller than the pics might make you think, it is not at all La-Z-Boy or HT chair sized.

Edits:The place I saw the chair offered dozens of colors, not just 3, and also note some features are optional...maybe I only remember the base price... Now that I look at the pics better, the one I saw was made of larger pieces of leather (i.e. no seams in sides or back etc.) and tighter leather (no "ripples"). And wasn't called "Queen" either, else I would have figgered... So I guess it's the same style/guts, Scandinavian-made too (i.e. you have to wait a bit for it to come in), but a different manufacturer or perhaps an "up" model.

Not exactly what I wanted, which once again is exactly what I already have that looks nothing like this one, but made of nicer wood and nicer leather. Wanted to get something decent while I still can afford it: the general quality of typical furniture is plummeting, and the price of anything decently made is skyrocketing. Have you noticed?
