I too was taken care of by Parasound....

....when I had a problem with a 2100 preamp. The dealer told me just contact Parasound, and I did. Richard Schram personally took care of me in a way beyond what's required manner, supported by his staff as needed.

Recently I've had excellent service experiences with both Oppo and KEF.

My Oppo 83 received a new board and tray out of warranty when an audio problem developed after a bunch of years. They charged me $79 plus shipping one way, undiagnosed and uninspected. While I'm in California as they are, I shipped it out on Tuesday before the 4th of July and had it back on the following Tuesday.

With my KEFQ900's, I had an active bass driver start distorting. I was close to three years into my five year warranty. My dealer authorized the return without question. Corey Medley at KEF USA sent out a new driver immediately without asking me to return the speaker for inspection.

Manufacturers like these know the value of great service for both repeat business and word of mouth advertising. They know only a smallish % of folks are going to be outright lieing to them, so it's best to handle things in the most cost and public relations effective manner possible.

It works. And it pays to buy from authorized dealers.

See ya. Dave
