"Transient perfect"

A speaker that can pass a square wave (at all frequencies) is TP by definition, and therefore should most accurately reproduce musical transients in the recorded signal. The audibility of this, when achieved, is open to question, but enough DB studies over the years have shown that SOME listeners can hear it consistently on SOME material.

The linked article by Kreskovsky goes into some detail about how a TP response can or cannot be achieved through various crossover types. It's a bit technical, but well worth taking the time to understand.
