Hi, tinear,
I don't own vinyl records because they're convenient, and that's the only reason I can see for owning digital versions. Unless a favorite album I own is in bad shape and/or horribly mastered AND the reissue is a much better recording, I don't see replacing LPs or even CDs.
But I am considering purchasing a music player to play hi-res music files. Music that may not be availble on vinyl. I'll continue to purchase CDs, but probably used CDs for the most part. And if I want to buy current music that isn't available on vinyl, I figure why not get hi-res versions rather than the mid-res quality of Redbook CD.
Regards,
Tom
