or, for whatever reason, didn't profit back in the day can be forgiven for doing a money tour late in their careers. If they're not top notch, at least a group of fans who never had the chance to see them in their prime got to see em plus, they got a well deserved paycheck. John Fogerty comes to mind currently, Howling Wolf in the early 70s as well. Although, based on concert footage I've seen, Fogerty puts on a damned good show.
As for the big acts, Stones, Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles, etc., they better put out big time or I'm all for them being ripped.
Those $165 tickets for McCartney 8(?) years ago were worth every damn penny. He and his band left it all on the stage.
