I did not know Monster refuses to service them after warranty is up.

Monster not being willing to service them sucks.
When a company will not take care of it's customers...
One more reason to avoid Monster.
PS WHo told you Monster will not repair it out of warranty? A repair station 'authorized' by Monster? Or the main company itself?

If it was some service company working for Monster, I would write Monster directly.. Send the letter right to Noel Lee directly.
