No secret

The system sounded great, looked great and was demo-ed in an optimized room. My opinion - more eye candy than performance given the hundreds of thousands of dollar price tag. The sound was bested by systems that I have heard that were far less expensive. One of the best - cost no object - systems I remember was at Victors in Chicago (late 80s) double quads on stands, coffin sized subs driven by two Levinson amps per channel. I think the source was an LP 12 it was magic, but I was young and impressionable.

Lately I am more impressed by value based systems.
