if you can put the speakers in the corners.I too would dissuade you from the Maggies. I have owned them, and audition them from time to time and they will not rock out.
I had Vandersteen 5As and was not happy with them. My wife and I auditioned Quad 2805s and the Audio Notes. She said "you better get the Audio Notes, or you will be looking for new speakers again."
She was right, I am very happy with the AN's...especially now that I have the stands filled with a 50-50 mix of #9 lead shot and 30 mesh screened, washed and kiln dried sand. This works better than just sand, per my trials.
