I hope this isn't too off-topic for the General Board but I wanted to reach out to see if any of you could help me in identifying a poster that's on the wall at New York's Village Vanguard.
I recently bought a house here in the Seattle area and have the basement to use as a listening room. It's going to be quite a challenge as the basement is cut up strangely and I'm dealing with two structural support beams that are inconveniently located (although I'm sure the house itself would beg to differ).
The other night as I was struggling with speaker placement options, mostly standing motionless scratching my chin, a thought popped into my head: the Village Vanguard is also a small, awkward space that's home to amazing music, history, and just happens to be one of the best places on Earth (though I've not been in 10+ years).
I've decided to replicate the interior of the Vanguard in my basement. Through my own photos from visits in years past and pics I've found online, it's pretty easy for me to identify the artwork/photos they have up on the walls there. There's one poster though that I just can't identify. It looks like it may be a promotional poster for a foreign film or foreign concert. I'm attaching the best image I could find with the poster in question highlighted. Anybody have any clues?
Thanks in advance for any help!
