I appreciate all the comments here. It seems as a poster has said it's more like reading a book, some have a more festive experience than others, but if you look at it like reading a book it makes more sense. At least to me it is an isolated experience/hobby. Like reading esoteric material, you can explain what you are reading to people, but most won't get it, or even care.
It's like talking about quantum psychics to an ape! They just won't get it.
