I use it as a sort of reclocking. It certainly does strip off the HDCD code, as a Cd straight from CD player to DAc has HDCD, but through DEQ2496 the HDCD is gone.
Anyway, I just run my digital through the DEQ flat, usingthe Toslink in and AES/EBU out. (it is a nice was to add a use for the AES/EBU input on my DAC.
So I have nothing to report about the Behringer except it works fine as a reclocker.
