RE: There are certain human hearing rules

Perceptiopn of hearing is a lot like scent.

If you put in about 20-odd scent chemicals in a typical perfume, everyone smells the same thing, but people perceive things a bit differently (this is absolutely true and easy to demonstrate).

There are soem scent chemicals that the more you smell it, the less sensitive you get to it, and some that when you smell it, you become MORE sensitive to it. If you were to use 2 of these, one person would smell a different scent than the other one would.

THere was a perfume that used Tonka bean scent, Vanilla and Lavendar (classic male scent). For the life of me, I couldn't smell the lavender, and it turned out that the chemical they used was one I had become desensitized to.

I find when I listen to music, I can perceive textures, details and tonality very well, I do not perceive the stereo image as well as a lot of people - does that mean that stereo imaging is a bunch of hokum? Nope.
