There can be six to ten of us at a restaurant and I don’t recall noticing everyone constantly checking their phone or the phones even ringing.
Yes, some people in a restaurant are uncouth and ignorant and take & make calls whilst seated in a restaurant.
I don’t get stressed if my wife or kids or elderly parents don’t answer their mobile phone.
I find a mobile phone very convenient and cheap.
At home we have six cordless phones and about the same number or corded phones. I like to walk around and pace when I’m talking business which is impossible to do with a corded phone.
My wife likes to sit by the pool and talk on the phone.
Is a cordless or mobile phone essential? I guess it depends on how much one values their convenience.
