Classic 160GB. Everything on it is ALAC except the handful of titles I bought from the iTunes Store, and nearly all of the lossless stuff is ripped from my LP collection
I listen to music all day at work and got tired of replacing the stoopid desktop CD systems every year because the cheap optical drives crap out.
And don't forget podcasts. Our local PBS outlets are fundraising right now but I can hear Car Talk and This American Life complete and uninterrupted.
Has anybody here checked out iTunes U? I found a 250-part series on jazz that's really informative.
At any rate, from what I've read iPod sales have been falling for several years now as people shift to smartphones for everything. My siblings, for example, haven't used their own iPods for several years, instead loading up the smartphone with mp3s.
