Comparing outlets is rather difficult

as it is necessary to have duplicate electrical circuits (ideally)
or at least one outlet of each type on the same circuit. How many
people can or will do either? Unless you do one of these, and do
some sort of reasonable dbt or sbt, I maintain you have no basis
for comparison since hearing "memory" is not very reliable (to say the
least). And of course, there's always the risk that, if you do run
an actual comparison ala the above, you will prefer the cheaper
outlet! How bad would that be???
