Greetings. I live in Arizona and need to send my Krell amplifier in its original packaging back to Krell in Connecticut for repair. The freight company I contacted, who deals with Krell a lot, suggests to place the package on a pallet for safety but only offers insurance on total loss only. Any external/internal damage to the equipment would not be covered.

I'm not too sure how comfortable I am with no insurance coverage on damage. How safe is a 79 lb package rested on a shrink-wrapped pallet for air transportation ? Any past experience or opinion would be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
