More than 200 hours to break in ?? Even if it may sound better after that long, I would wonder whether it is my ears or the cable that is broken in. At any rate, I used to own a D-60 for two years and liked it very much until I tried Music Metre's Fidelus and Harmonic Technology's Cyber-link copper, both of them gave richer and airier sound than the D-60 cable without loosing any detail. Nothing is absolute. I guess system matching may also be very important. I use Sony DVPs7000 as a transport which is connected to AA DTI Pro32->I2S cable->AA DDE3.0 modified by Dusty->Silver Audio Silver Bullets 6.0 interconnect-> A.I. M3A preamp->Silver Bullets 6.0->Spectron D1 poweramp->Silver Audio Symphony 48 solid silver speaker cables->Gallo Nucleus Reference speakers. Another interesting observation is that when using the D-60 digital cable in my system, I always prefered stock Sovtek 6922 tubes to other NOS (Edicron, Tungsram, Amperex, etc.) for my M3A preamp since these NOS tubes just sounded too forward in the mid to high frequency range. But switching to the Fidelus digital cable finally enabled me to appreciate the glorious sound of the NOS tubes and I can now understand why people dislike the Sovteks so much.
