Now that I think about it, I don't have a single piece of local gear in my Canadian home!

Something interesting I have noted over the years though. It seems a service/manufacturer/farmer or whatever, seems to get more support, say from the bank or government, if exporting their goods, as opposed to offering them locally. The intention of course is to encourage world trade. I think in the long run this will probably work. Probably not in our lifetime though!

Am now going back to watching hockey on TV. Russia just ousted Canada for the Gold medal. Ouch. And no Canadian teams left in the NHL playoffs. Ouch ouch ouch. Sigh...
