doesn't make me any expert, I do have friends there and do to my work I was able to see much of went on. One problem manufactures have there that desire to produce quality is that they are often ripped off with fake parts that are done so well that until you get them into the field you don't see the real problems. I correspond with a company that tries to buy from Japan and they buy products from the US but there are some items they have to buy at home (this is for electronics) and often problems arise. Yes many don't care and just want to make a quick RMB knowing full well they are selling junk.

One thing that often came up was the frustration that ideas, intellectual property and designs are in no way safe from theft by implementation from one person in China to another. Software is often brought up as being "stolen" as in Windows, but software designers in China are ripped off just as fast by his own countrymen.

Yes it is a major problem. The major drive is a common denominator that crosses any language and cultural barrier, Greed.
