Yes, but honestly most shoppers don't care about fit n finish. The small scope of the most ardent audiophiles may on electronics but to be fair one can get pretty good audiophile grade gear from China too. Not everything made there is junk or toxic. Audiophiles consist of more people than the richest 2% of the population. Many a working stiff is an audiophile or similar to such but has not the means to buy $10,000+ TT's and $5,000+ CDPs with $5,000+ DACs all running through $25,000+ mono-blocks and $50,000+ speakers.

One has to size up the better quality gear from China Inc. and do his/her best in his/her budget to find stuff that will make them happy, at least for a while ;-)
